Monel steel - decades of this
material had been almost forgotten by the strings manufacturers. Here
is the proud announcement of the return of the real Monel strings.
Until the early 70's either steel
or Monel was used as Pure Nickel Electric Guitar Strings material for
manufacturing. Unfortunately, this trend was lost towards finding something
cheaper, thus nickel plated steel strings. The nickel-plated steel strings were
then wound on a hexagonal steel core and mass-produced.
These Monel steel strings are
manufactured back in the old tradition and wrap the wire Monel a round steel
core. If you are looking for an alternative to the Pure Nickel strings, then the
Monel Classics well fit the bill. The Monel Classics include the great tonal gap
between the nickel-plated steel and the Pure Nickel strings.
